All cultures throughout time offer an ageless guideline for remaining in clarity throughout ones lifetime. Here, the ancient guidelines offer timeless explanations of the laws that exist, protecting one from chaos and offering an opportunity to return to ones 'bright and shining' original nature.
Attuned to laws that supersede those of the temporary appearances, compiled by the Sage Paternal Maharishi in the Yoga Sutras, the Yamas and Niyamas follow a progressive series of steps helpful guidelines that are of our true natures, or 'disciplines' which purify the body and mind, ultimately leading one to ones illumined experience, happiness, and understanding of God. They are in alignment with the universal knowledge of the laws of clarity, both non denominational Bible, the Sufi and the Oriental traditional guidelines for preserving the beauty, truthfulness and happiness of life.

Yamas - The Yamas or restraints (Don'ts) are divided into five clear and vibrant series of ethical moral injunctions, aimed at destroying the lower nature allowing one to rise to the love, joy and natural state of being for which all crave, mistakenly searching in compromised living. These universal precepts are explained as preserving ones happiness, and preventing chaos. They should all be practiced and developed by the letter and in the spirit. They should all be practiced in word, thought and deed. They are considered to have originated from cultures of a dramatically more advanced Awareness of Truth, rooted in complete Illumination. The terminologies utilized are simply the language of another tongue for that which unites us all in ultimate brotherhood and protection from chaos, separation, loneliness and inner emptiness.

(Ahimsa) non-violence to all
(Satyam or) truthfulness in words and deeds to all
(Brahmacharya - wise control of all the senses). Also refers to celibacy or moderation and control of senses in both single and married life.
This is based on the ancient 'secret' teachings of emphasizing the development of the shining and vibrant pure life force.
(Asteya or) non-stealing
Immaculate honoring what is yours and what is anothers, protection of anothers earned arenas and honoring ones own
(Aparigraha or) non-covetousness jealousy and greed of what does not belong to one
The deep introspection of self and character to live happily in celebration of others and ones true Self, acting in honor while rising above thoughts, words or deeds that indulge or reflect inclinations to want what is someone elses
Niyamas - The Niyamas or observances (Do's) are also divided into five and complete the ethical precepts started with the Yama. These qualities are:
(Satya or) purity - this internal and external cleanliness of physical life, thought word and deed in radiance of joy
(Santosha or) contentment appreciation of the sanctity of ones life
Happy refraining, observance and mastery (Tapas or )austerity the practice of abstaining, increasing overcoming, increasing of practices in a natural and happy manner
Immersion in wise truth daily, upliftiment of consciousness, mind and emotions indicating actual progression and unfoldment
(Swadhyaya) or study of the sacred texts regular strong attunment regardless of daily work, school family life.
The Joy of Life cultured carefully and light heartedly in alignment with Truth, that which does not change. (Ishwara Pranidhana) which is constantly living with an awareness of the divine Presence
